Not only did Veteran left-hander Dane Stevens have two top-five back-to-back goals with the Burnaby Lakers this season, he also had the two fastest.

Stevens chalked up this Fan's Favourite fourth-best double on the Laker team this season with a natural pair 71 seconds apart in Burnaby's 9-7 loss to the Victoria Shamrocks on July 29.

Just three days earlier, Stevens also tallied back-to-back goals 2:18 minutes apart during the second period in the Lakers' 9-7 victory at home over the Coquitlam Adanacs.

But what makes the feat truly special for Stevens is scoring the natural double in back-to-back games.

The July 26 double by Stevens is this Fan's Favourite third-best Burnaby Lakers back-to-back goal this season.

Stevens garnered three goals in the win over the A's and also earned the game's first star nod in the process.

In typical Steven's fashion, the former five-time club scoring champion tallied his first of two back-to-back markers early in a period, scoring his first in the opening minute of the middle frame on a pick-and-go with Eli McLaughlin from Tyler Digby.

The following counter came two minutes later in the period on another textbook slide off a pick - calling for a short, forthcoming pass from Scott Jones from a second assist to McLaughlin - Stevens buried the ball far post on former Laker keeper Dan Lewis to give Burnaby a 5-4 lead.
