The Burnaby Lakers got ammunition from both sides of the floor in a 12-10 victory over the Victoria Shamrocks on Friday night.
Left-handers Robert Church and Scott Jones teamed up for 11 points, while right-siders Eli McLaughlin, Dane Stevens and rookie Josh Byrne, with a five-point effort including the game-winning tally, accounted for a total of 13 points to pace the senior A Lakers to their eighth win of the Western Lacrosse Association season.
Burnaby led 4-3 after the opening period and 9-6 after 40 minutes to hand Victoria just its fourth loss of the year.
