2023 Season schedule

The 2023 WLA season is fast approaching and we're more excited than ever to open up The Swamp!

The Lakers will start the year in the league's season opening game and on the road vs the Langley Thunder on Wednesday, May 24th. They will turn around and host their home opener two nights later when the Maple Ridge Burrards come to town on Friday, May 26th.

The Lakers will play six of their home games on Fridays and two on Tuesdays with five of them occurring during the month of July. The away schedule will have them playing twice in Langley, Nanaimo and Maple Ridge and once in New Westminster and Coquitlam.

One feature of this season's schedule is a new location on Vancouver Island. On Saturday, June 24th, the Lakers will be hosts to the Victoria Shamrocks at the Alberni Valley Multiplex in Port Alberni. This game is in partnership with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs and is the first instalment of two nights on the island. The next evening, they'll travel to Nanaimo to play the Timbermen at Frank Crane Arena. Both games have a 7pm start.

This road trip will bring the team to the halfway point in the season and leave them with six home games left to play and three more on the road.

The regular season will finish up in just the way it started, on the road vs the Thunder on Wednesday, July 26th.

Please come out and join us at Bill Copeland Arena or at any of our games on the road. If you are out of town or just can't make it, livestreams will be available for all games. Tag us on social media @BurnabyLakers and use the #SwampLax hashtag to let us know you're out there.
